Boracay Island -- Helmet Diving

There are so many things to do in this magnificent island. Locals seem to know who are new on the island and offer them different types of activities. Sometimes they are annoying, but just say that you're done with the activities they are offering, and they won't bother you anymore.

One of the famous and must-do activity in Boracay is the helmet diving.  It is where you are to wear a helmet that is supplied with compressed air. You will then be accompanied by a guide (in a SCUBA gear) to walk underwater, on the ocean floor. The experience gets more interesting when fishes go near  you.  You can really see and feel them.

you can select from numerous helmets

I think the cost of this activity depends on the number of persons in your group and also if you are a foreigner   or not.  In my case, since we are three who went together, we paid Php 500 each.  This includes the boat ride to and fro the starting point, the helmet equipment, guide and of course a set of souvenir photos which were stored in a CD and will even be delivered to your hotel upon your request.

Personally, I think it is a bit expensive.  But then, you are paying for the experience to be underwater and walk on the ocean floor and to see fishes close by.
