Davao Oriental -- Cape San Agustin

It was all a sudden decision to travel.  One of my coworker really wanted to go to this place that is on the tip of the Philippines in the Southeastern part of Mindanao.  Being curious of the place, I tagged along, together with 7 more coworkers.  I never researched about the place prior to us going there.  After all, I just tagged along and I really never planned the event myself.

The day started at 3AM when the van we rented fetched us at Davao City.  We travelled along an unfamiliar road and arrived at the town of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental, at around 7am.  We had breakfast at our guide’s house.  The fishes were fresh from the sea and the sea breeze was very pleasant.

After eating, we started the journey to the cape.  It took around 2 hours to get to the “end of the highway.”  The stretch of white sand was very amazing.  And the area was still peaceful since it was not yet commercially “exploited.”  See the following pictures for a peek to a paradise, way down south.
